How mrdoodle works

How mrdoodle works, from message to live site

Published September 3, 2026 · 4 min read

mrdoodle turns a WhatsApp brief into a working website or small app, sends the preview back to the chat, accepts edits by message, and charges only when you deploy a site live.

Why does mrdoodle live in WhatsApp?

The conversation replaces the builder. You can type an idea, talk through it in a voice note, send photos, or paste the link to a public site you own. mrdoodle can ask about a missing detail before it starts, so you do not need to translate the business into web-design settings.

It builds phone-first pages and can build full-stack features with persistent data, such as a request form and owner list. Later changes happen in the same chat. Building and previewing are free, and nothing is charged until you deploy a site live.

What happens when you send the first message?

The first WhatsApp conversation creates the account tied to your WhatsApp identity. There is no separate password form. Messages sent close together are briefly grouped, which means you can describe the idea in several natural bubbles and attach media.

A good brief contains the business or project, location, offer, exact facts, primary visitor action, and preferred feeling. If mrdoodle needs clarification, it asks. Then it starts the code-generation process and shares progress in the chat.

Voice notes are transcribed, and inbound images can become references for the build. Exact spellings, prices, addresses, and policies are still safest as text.

What comes back after the build?

When the build succeeds, WhatsApp receives a preview link and an image of the site. The normal target described by mrdoodle is about ten minutes, though complex projects and service conditions can change the actual wait.

Open the link rather than approving from the screenshot. Tap every action, read the copy, test forms with fictional data, and inspect the owner workflow. AI creates the draft; you remain responsible for facts, rights, policies, and what customers see.

The preview link is temporary and meant for review. Say “preview” if you need the current link again.

How do changes work?

Reply with the visible result you want: “Move the hours above the gallery,” “change the price to $35 everywhere,” or “make this a request, not an instantly confirmed booking.” mrdoodle updates the project and sends a fresh preview.

You can keep several projects without mixing them up. Say “new site” to start another and “my sites” to choose the active one. Free, undeployed projects use one of three free slots; deploying one frees that slot. Give projects distinct names so edits are easy to aim.

How does a site go live?

When you are happy with the preview, tap Deploy. mrdoodle offers the configured monthly or yearly plan and opens a Stripe checkout. After payment is confirmed, deployment starts and the live address arrives in WhatsApp. Live sites receive an address under mrdoodle.chat.

The plan and its price are shown in the chat before you pay, and nothing is charged until you deploy. The live deployment remains connected to the active subscription. Further edits to that site are rebuilt and redeployed from the chat.

For all plan details, see mrdoodle pricing explained.

What happens if a subscription ends?

The site stays online for a short grace period and then pauses. Its project content is kept so the site can return after reactivation. The site is not silently deleted when a subscription ends.

If you want to erase an individual project, use the site deletion flow in WhatsApp. If you want the account, conversation data, sites, and subscriptions removed, send “delete my data” and confirm the destructive action. The privacy policy explains the process and retention details.

What is automatic, and what remains your decision?

mrdoodle automates the build, preview, hosting flow, and requested code changes. You decide what the business promises, which content may be published, whether the workflow fits real operations, and when the preview is ready.

Before deployment, verify copy, image rights, prices, times, legal requirements, accessibility, form storage, owner access, and every important edge case. For complex payments, health information, large migrations, or regulated workflows, bring in the relevant specialist.

Start with one honest sentence about what you need. mrdoodle will sketch the preview for free; you pay nothing unless you review it and choose to deploy the site live.
